Dear Peabody Community,
I am excited about what a great start we have had to this
school year! It was wonderful to see all the smiling faces
return and we are all enjoying getting to know our new
families.
Thank you to all of you who were able to join us at our
Annual Curriculum Night. As I mentioned that evening, I
received some very good news about our MCAS Scores that I
am now able to share. Thanks to everyone’s hard work and
determination, we are now a Level One School. This
designation is given by the state and is the highest level
awarded to schools that have fully met their goal of narrowing
the achievement gap goals. Congratulations to everyone!
For those of you I didn’t get to talk to personally, I hope your
family will be attending the K-5 Potluck this Wednesday
(10/1) from 5:30 – 7PM. Please join us and bring a dish to
share. Nancy will be playing music and it promises to be a
great evening.
Yesterday, you should have received your monthly curriculum
update for October. I hope this will continue to be a helpful
tool in working with your child at home, leading to
discussions and connections with homework help.
