Dear Peabody Community,

Ms. KelleyIt is with deep regret that we share with you the news of the passing of Mrs. Lucille Kelley.

Mrs. Kelley was a well-known legend in the Peabody and the Fitzgerald Community Schools. Lucille started working at the Peabody as a paraprofessional in 2002. Through the years since then, she could be seen working in classrooms. Running our early morning program. Most notably, she worked alongside Carolyn Rodrigues at both afterschool and summer camp. Her signature Dizzy-Lu productions shows at the end of each summer will never be forgotten.

If you were lucky enough to know Mrs. Kelley, you felt seen, loved and appreciated. From her badges, to the songs she taught our children before school, her general good nature and her holding your hand when she talked to you, you felt her sincere affection.

Her passing will definitely leave the Peabody with emptiness, however, the unending love she had for the children and adults of our community will be felt forever.

We offer our sincere condolences to her family.

Compassionately,

The Peabody Team
