Author Visit at Peabody

Grade 5 students at Peabody welcomed this year's Newbery Award winner, Erin Entrada Kelly, to their library. She shared At Last She Stood: How Joey Guerrero Spied, Survived and Fought for Freedom. This nonfiction book combines themes of the Philippines, World War II, spy stories, immigration, disease and medicine, racism, perseverance, and hope.
