"Your academic definition of me is the absence of color, but even a child knows that when you put ALL beautiful colors together, I appear. I am beauty personified, I AM BLACK! Our society has forced us to view all that is BLACK (all that is ME) through a negative lens. For a few moments, we are reminded of all the strength and value that is found in me, BLACK."
